Our patients
are kept as comfortable as possible at all times. All patients
deserve to be treated with respect. No patient will be allowed
to suffer pain without help in controlling and/or eliminating that
pain.
Little things make a big difference in patient
comfort.
- Our cage and run floors are always padded for warmth and
comfort.
- Once vaccines are mixed, the needle is changed before
administering to prevent using a dull needle.
- Pain medications are used with every surgery.
- Large dogs are examined and treated on the floor to decrease
the stress of being on an exam table.
- The surgery table is padded for every surgery and the patient
is treated to warm towels in recovery.
- Patients enjoy extra attention from the staff.
- Geriatric patients are allowed the same level of veterinary
care as younger patients. Heart ailments are not used as an
excuse to allow dental disease to decrease the quality of life for
our patients. All patients (including heart patients) should
be treated to reduce the pain associated with dental disease.
- Our cages and runs are air-conditioned and heated.
- Patients and guests are exercised three to four times a
day.
All trauma and surgery patients benefit from appropriate
pain medication. Skimping on the quality or quantity of pain
medication is not fair to the patient and should not be tolerated by
the owner.
