My smallest human brother watches a show about a dog who eats alphabet soup and can talk! Wouldn't that be wonderful! Mommy doesn't ever feed me alphabet soup so I'm very thankful that she kind of knows what I need without me saying anything. I bet your people do too! Just last week Mommy knew I was sick. I was laying on the floor and didn't want to get up. I didn't eat any dinner and my tummy was making funny noises. My Daddy brought me to Stone House and I got to stay the night! I had something called pancreatitis. I hope you never get this!! My tummy hurt so bad - way worse than when I hurt my leg chasing daddy's truck. The people here knew what I needed too - without me being able to talk to them! I got special medicine to help my tummy stop hurting. They made me a soft bed and helped me to feel better. All without me talking!! Try giving these clues to your humans when you don't feel good:
*lay around, don't play like usual
*lick at what hurts
*have a worried facial expression
I bet your humans will know you need help when you give them these clues. Aren't we lucky humans love us so much - even if we can't talk.
PS. I feel a lot better now! My human siblings were so excited when I came home but the cat just seemed annoyed. Don't worry, I gave him a few licks so I think things are back to normal now.
I'm Kona, a 2 year old Rottweiler. I love to run, play and give kisses....alot of licks means alot of kisses! Mom has worked at Stone House for almost 12 years and was just waiting for the perfect dog and I'M IT!! I also have a cat brother and 3 people siblings. I love them all (but the cat won't believe me!)
